Cary-Grove High School is a public, four-year high school with enrollment of 1,864 students. For 2013, Cary-Grove is ranked as one of the nation’s top 1,000 public high schools by The Daily Beast/Newsweek. Additionally, U.S. News & World Report ranks Cary-Grove in the country’s top 1,500 public high schools. Located approximately 45 miles northwest of
Chicago, Cary-Grove offers a comprehensive curriculum and extracurricular activities to help students expand their academic and social skills, learn about themselves, engage in positive experiences, and be involved with community outreach. There are 24 different sports and more than 30 clubs and activities.

Cary-Grove is one of four high schools within Community High School District 155. The district operates CG, Crystal Lake Central, Crystal Lake South, Prairie Ridge, and an alternative campus, Haber Oaks. Enrollment includes approximately 6,750 students from McHenry and Lake counties.
